Kiki Pineiro

LCMHCA

Kiki Pineiro (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and earned a master’s degree in counseling at NC State University. She entered the counseling field in an effort to destigmatize mental health conditions and normalize seeking therapy.

As a Caribbean American who grew up in a military family, Kiki often relocated both within the US and abroad. Her exposure to different cultures and appreciation of people from different backgrounds has instilled in her the importance of equity and inclusion. She uses her experience in military culture and as a BIPOC woman who advocates for these communities.

As a counseling professional, Kiki believes that we are all unique, sentient beings who possess internal strength that can be optimized with therapy. Her existential therapeutic approach aims to uncover a client’s worldview and assist them in understanding their values, beliefs, and purpose. She also utilizes different treatment modalities such as person-centered and solution-focused therapies. Kiki’s therapeutic approach is holistic in recognizing the interconnectedness of our emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual bodies by bringing clients back to connection with themselves and Source energy. She is also able to incorporate Tarot as a tool for empowerment and self-growth.

Kiki welcomes clients seeking psychedelic therapy integration. While neither she nor Nour Counseling advocate for, advise, or condone the use of illegal substances, Kiki offers integration counseling for support before an experience and provides a safe space to discern meaning from the feelings and ideas manifested after an experience.

Kiki works with adults of all ages, specializing in work with women and individuals who identify as BIPOC or LGBTQIA2S+. Some of her special interests include working with individuals on identity exploration, spiritual growth, empowerment, sex positivity, relationship conflict, interpersonal partner violence, and narcissistic abuse.
